- Collection Instructions:
- Block and slide identifiers should be clearly written and match exactly with the specimen ID and specimen labeling as noted on the requisition.
- Slides should be positively charged and cut at 3-4 microns thick.
- Tissue should be placed in 10% Neutral Buffered Formalin. Fixative volume should be 20 times greater than tissue volume. Containers must be labeled with the patient's name, date of birth and name and origin of specimen and accompanied by the specimen requisition.
- Please indicate the time of fixation. In event of a DRY TAP (no aspirate smears) submit two touch imprints.
