Pathline Labs Announces the Return of Dr. Zach Liu

Zach Liu, MD: Co-Director of Hematopatholgy, Molecular Pathology

Pathline Labs is pleased to announce the return of Dr. Zach Liu as the Co-Director of Hematopatholgy and Molecular Pathology, where he previously served as Medical Director. Prior to joining Pathline, Dr. Liu served as a surgical pathologist and hematopathologist at Rutgers University, where he currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology. He was Interim Chair at the Department of Pathology for both Monmouth Medical Center and Community Medical Center. Additionally, he was the past Director of Flow Cytometry, GenPath/Bio-Reference Laboratories, Inc. Dr. Liu brings to Pathline over 23 years of experience in consulting, research, morphologic, and flow cytometric diagnostic skills.

Dr. Liu completed his hematopathology fellowship under the direction of Dr. Glauco Frizzera at New York University Medical Center, NY. In addition, he completed a residency of combined programs in anatomic and clinical training at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center, NY.

Dr. Liu is the author or co-author of numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations on hematopoietic disorders. He earned his M.D. degree from the Hebei Medical University, China, where he also served as a research and teaching fellow at the Department of Biophysics at Hebei University with an emphasis on cell biology.

Dr. Liu is board certified in hematopathology, anatomic pathology, and clinical pathology.
