Gregory S. Henderson, MD, PhD

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Henderson has been a consulting Pathologist with Pathline Labs since 2018 and was appointed Medical Director in November 2020. He was formerly the President of BioReference Laboratories from 2016 to 2018 and Vice Chairman of Outreach Pathology and Laboratory Medicine for the Mount Sinai Health System in New York from 2014 to 2016.

Prior to his executive roles, Dr. Henderson was Founder of Pacific Pathology Partners in Seattle, WA, and a Partner in Wilmington Pathology Associates in Wilmington, NC. He served as Section Head of Anatomic Pathology at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans during the post-Katrina years of 2005-2007.

Dr. Henderson is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Medical School, where he received both an MD and a Ph.D. in immunology. He completed residencies at Johns Hopkins Hospital, University of Utah and ARUP Reference Laboratories and fellowship training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Dr. Henderson is a nationally recognized expert in breast, gynecologic, and pulmonary pathology. He is an active member of the CAP, the ASCP, and is a past-president of the American Pathology Foundation. In 2006, Dr. Henderson was the first recipient of the Distinguished Patient Care Award bestowed by College of American Pathologists. Dr. Henderson is certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
