Clinical Significance:
Estrogen Receptor (ER) and Progesterone Receptor (PR) are measured in breast cancer specimens according to ASCO/CAP recommendations, for both prognostic and therapeutic purposes. Receptor expression is detected by binding of monoclonal rabbit anti-ER antibody clone 6F11 by Leica and monoclonal mouse anti-PR antibody clone 16 by Leica. ER and PR status is determined by the percentage of stained tumor cells, according to ASCO/CAP guidelines.
